SRT and Oceanside Theatre Company are co-hosting a Virtual Gala! Originally scheduled for Saturday, January 23 – but postponed due to COVID restrictions to a date to be determined. Tune in from the comfort of your living room as we live-stream from the historic Brooks Theater in downtown Oceanside. See stars from SRT and OTC’s four most recent Broadway musicals – The Fantasticks, She Loves Me, Man of La Mancha, and Sweet Charity!
Luke Monday (She Loves Me); Taylor Magee (She Loves Me, Man of La Mancha); Kalin Booker (Sweet Charity), Tanner Vidos (She Loves Me, Man of La Mancha), Olivia Pence (Sweet Charity, Man of La Mancha), Audrey Eytchison (Sweet Charity) and more* will be singing some of your favorite songs, accompanied by the incomparable Elan McMahon on piano.

Note: OTC and SRT will follow all COVID-19 safety protocols surrounding this live performance. Performers will remain physically separated at all times.
How to Watch
This will be a live-streamed event. Tickets are $50 and will be available once the date is determined. Purchase your ticket and then join us online the day of the show.
In addition to live donation options during the show, there will be a live, interactive auction of items donated from local merchants and supporters of SRT and OTC. All proceeds will help sustain OTC and SRT operations into 2021.

Robin Thompson
Robin is pleased to be returning to OTC for A Christmas Carol. He has often played at the nearby Star Theatre, as Paul in Barefoot in the Park, Freddie in Noises Off, Gregor in Fools, Sam in A Few Good Men, and more. Other favorite credits include Sherlock Holmes in Baskerville (Scripps Ranch Theatre), Teddy in Arsenic and Old Lace (Welk Resort Theatre), Gillette in The Game’s Afoot, which he also directed, and Rochester in Jane Eyre (both at Escondido’s Grand Tea Room). Many thanks to his wife and children for their inspiration and support.”
Bob Himlin
Bob is happy to be back at OTC after playing Padre in last season’s sold-out smash Man of La Mancha and Prince Carpenter in Foxfire. Susan Clausen
Susan recently played the title role in SRT/OTC’s Donna Orbits the Moon. Scripps Ranch Theatre credits include Good People, Absurd Person Singular, Moonlight and Magnolias, California Suite, How the Other Half Loves and Social Security. Susan performed in the Amazon Prime activation for Carnival Row at ComiCon 2019. Lamb’s Players Theatre credits include The Nerd, Harvey, A Man For All Seasons, ‘Till We Have Faces and The Diviners. She performed as Clara Schumann with the San Diego Symphony and a storyteller with Write Out Loud’s TwainFest ’10-’20. Other local credits include Defying Gravity, The Last Night of Ballyhoo, Auntie Mame, Dancing at Lughnasa and Jake’s Women at North Coast Rep.
Edward Howell
Ed is thrilled to be back again as Scrooge, joining the talented cast and crew for this year’s production of A Christmas Carol: A Radio Play at OTC. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Theatre from Michigan State University and studied in the MFA program at the University of Louisville. Ed has appeared in community, collegiate, and professional theatre productions, as well as commercials and independent films. He has also taught theatre classes and directed shows. Ed continues to thank his wife Leslie for her love and encouragement of his theatre activities.
Renetta Lloyd
Renetta is thrilled to be returning to OTC for the second year of A Christmas Carol: A Radio Play. She was seen several years ago on this stage in The Boys Next Door. More recently she has often performed at the Broadway Theatre in Vista. When not in front of the curtain, Renetta is behind the scenes of several theatres in North County working as a costumer. She also designs custom costumes and fashion for special events. She thanks her wonderful family for always supporting her many artistic endeavors. Enjoy the show!
John McCoy
John McCoy is delighted to be joining such a talented cast for the third year of this OTC Holiday tradition. John has appeared as Grandpa in OTC’s production of The Best Christmas Pageant Ever, and multiple MiraCosta College productions including Tonton Julian in Once On This Island, Judge Carnes in Oklahoma, Pa Joad in Grapes Of Wrath, H. Fatt in Waiting for Lefty, and The Apothecary in Romeo & Juliet. Much thanks to John’s wife Michele and Family for their enduring support of his theatre endeavors.
Alex Tanner
Alex is excited to be returning to OTC for A Christmas Carol: A Radio Play ! He is currently a student of the theatre at MiraCosta College, and his recent credits there include David Bliss in Hay Fever and Sir Oliver Surface in The School for Scandal. Being a lover of voice work, he is having a lot of fun in this production, and is incredibly grateful for the opportunity to work with a bunch of awesome people!
Catalina Zelles
Catalina is thrilled to return to the Brooks Theatre for the third year in a row in A Christmas Carol: A Radio Play. She previously performed here in Miracle on 34th Street (Susan Walker) 2016/17. Other favorite productions include North Coast Repertory Theatre’s West Coast Premiere of Gabriel (Estelle), Patio Playhouse’s Wait Until Dark (Gloria); Moonlight Stage Production’s Newsies (Newsie); TS@NCRT’s Secret Garden (Colin Craven, NYA Award); SDMT’s Billy Elliot (Ballet Girl); Welk Resort Theatre’s The Music Man (Amaryllis) and Fiddler On The Roof (Bielke); OTC’s Eurydice (Little Stone); Cygnet Theatre’s Gypsy (Baby June); Saville Theatre’s To Kill A Mockingbird (Scout) and The Old Globe’s How The Grinch Stole Christmas (Little Who Ensemble). In Orange County: Pirates of Penzance (STAGES theatre); Bug (Hunger Artists); Bus Stop (Vanguard); Forever Plaid and The 12 Plays of Christmas (Orange County Pavilion). Ted serves currently as artistic director for Oceanside Theatre Company.
Alexa Emmenegger / Stage Manager
Alexa is thrilled to be back at Oceanside Theatre Company as stage manager for A Christmas Carol. She received her Bachelors of Science in Business and International Communication from Arizona State University while studying Theatre at MiraCosta College. Most recently, she worked as an assistant stage manager for Pacific Conservatory Theater’s 2019-2020 season as part of their professional internship program. Her stage management credits include: Pirates of Penzance, School for Scandal, Sense and Sensibility, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, and Almost, Maine (Stage Manager, MiraCosta College), Chicago the Musical (Stage Manager, PCPA Conservatory Rep) Disney’s The Little Mermaid and Brighton Beach Memoirs (Assistant Stage Manager, PCPA). Her acting credits include: Ann Deever in All My Sons, Judith Bliss in Hay Fever, Bette Logan in Heaven can Wait and Edna in Waiting For Lefty (MiraCosta College).
