“Welcome Theatre Lovers! As luck would have it, after growing up on the East Coast, I decided to move to San Diego 45 years ago because I heard it’s called ‘America’s Finest City’ and I wanted to come and discover how fabulous it truly is! I arrived here about the time Scripps Ranch residents had decided to create a special ‘Country Living’ Community Theatre! I was intrigued because the first time I’d ever been to a play was following my graduation from college when my intuitive mother flew me to New York City to see my very first play Man of La Mancha on Broadway in 1966. When I heard Richard Kiley sing ‘Impossible Dream’, a feeling of absolute exhilaration came over me that I’d never felt before. That very night the theatre bug bit me and I’ve adored, delighted and been entranced by theatrical productions ever since. I’m honored realizing now how live theatre opens a whole new world of excitement, compassion, expression, understanding, and perception. There’s no other art form with such precedence & power.
